Wallace, Helen (Eileen), 71, passed away Dec 11th. Born in Co. Wexford, Ireland, she has been a resident of Clearwater since 1964. Eileen was a Nurse Mid-Wife at Morton Plant Hospital for 45 years. She is survived by four sisters Aine (Michael) O'Rourke, NY, Kathy Avirett, Sefner, FL, Von (Patrick) Byrne, Ireland, and Fiona (Aidan) Foley, Ireland; 12 nieces and nephews, numerous grandnieces and grandnephews, cousins in USA and Ireland. BALL, Sarah Jane "Janey" 70, of Clearwater, died, Oct. 1, 2011. Janey was born in Charleston, WV. Janey was valedictorian of South Charleston High; received her BS from Florida State, where she met Donald and her master's degree in education from USF. She was a teacher for Pinellas County Schools for 43 years; president of Pinellas Education Employees Retired. Janey loved children and history. She taught many years at Blanton Elementary and moved when Sawgrass Elementary School opened. She taught 5th grade Science, Social Studies and Math for the majority of her career. She sewed and fixed many costumes for school productions. She also enjoyed scrap-booking. In her retirement, Janey enjoyed turtle watching for the Clearwater Marine Aquarium and taking care of little ones at Kimberly Home in Clearwater. Jane is survived by her husband of 49 years, Donald; daughter, Laurie Cottrell; sons, Dan Ball and Chris Ball; and granddaughters, Raven, Summer, Catherine, Emily and River. In lieu of flowers, her family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Kimberly Home Pregnancy Resource Center, 1189 NE Cleveland Street, Clearwater, FL 33755 or to Pinellas Education Employees retired, Scholarship Fund, 650 Seminole Blvd., Largo, FL 33770.

BARALT, Ernest Lopez, 73, of Clearwater, passed away February 27, 2011. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Mary; four children Bill, Beth, Mike, and Tricia; and nine grandchildren. Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, he graduated from Ruston Academy in Havana, Cuba in 1955 and Lehigh University in 1959. Ernie made Clearwater his home in 1971 when he opened a branch office of McCaughan Mortgage Company. He headed the Clearwater office for 40 years and was joined by both his sons who continue his legacy with McCaughan. Ernie's greatest joys were spending time with his family and traveling the world. Visitation at Moss Feaster, Belcher Road on Friday, March 4 from 6 - 8 pm. Funeral services at Light of Christ Catholic Church on Saturday, 11 am. Interment to follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Kimberly Home Pregnancy Resource Center.
